Michael James Flannery, 90, passed away June 26, 2022.  He was born in Farmingdale, NY the son of the late Bartholomew D. and Ellen G. Flannery.  He was predeceased by his grandson, Michael P. Flannery; and great granddaughter, Kayla I. Flannery.  Michael was a United States Army veteran having served during the Korean War and received a Purple Heart.  He went on to work and retire as a tire mechanic.  He was a member of the Long Island Sky Divers and loved working for Disney in Florida.  With the help of his loving wife, he successfully raised 5 boys.

Michael is survived by his wife of 69 years, Elizabeth Ann Danowski Flannery; sons, Michael J. Flannery, Jr. (Kathryn), Rodney D. Flannery (Robin), Patrick J. Flannery, Kelly K. Flannery (Christina), and Kevin D. Flannery (Simone); 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Katie Sessna (Jerry); brother, Bernard Flannery; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Michael D.
