Michael James Cosky, 65, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021. He was born in New Brighton, PA to the late Richard and Betty Jane Cosky. He served in the US Navy, Engineman 3rd Class Petty Officer, an employee of Newport News Shipyard for 32 years as an X43 Indoor & Outdoor Machinist, X18 Welder, X43 Nuclear Refueler. Most of all, what brought Michael the joy in his life was working on cars and spending time with loved ones. His hobbies were remote control airplanes and rebuilding clocks. The good Lord has called him home. He always wanted us to remember the good times. He was a loving, kind, and hardworking husband and father. Michael finally earned his wings, free from all his pain and now walks beside his Savior. If you ever met him, just remember who he was and what he stood for as a person, his values, morals, and lifestyle.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Georgia Ellen Easterday Cosky; children, Michael David Cosky (Shirley Williams), Kristen Lynn Newman (Jason Newman), and Daniel Wesley Cosky; grandchildren, Arinn, Morgan, Victor, and Drake Cosky, and Amber Newman; brother, Richard W. Cosky (Jane); nephew, Shawn Cosky (Jackie); niece, Amanda Roberts (Jason); great nephews, Brayden and Ty Cosky and Dylan Roberts; great nieces, Alyssa & Lena Roberts; sister, Beth Ann Cosky; niece, Victoria Fiorita; great nephews, Bentley and Ezra Fiorita; and great niece, Kyah Fiorita.
Michael's graveside service will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, please donate to pancreatic cancer research.
