Michael Joseph Byrum, 63, passed away September 19, 2023.  He was born in Chowan Co., NC the son of the late Hubert Talmadge and Nellie Pearl Sutphin Byrum.  Michael was predeceased by his brother, Hubert "Buck" Talmadge Byrum, Jr.  He was a retired self -employed construction worker and a member of Rivers United Church.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Patricia Ann Byrum Dempsey (Drew); grandchildren, Anna Bella Nicole Dempsey, Madalynn Grace Dempsey; and sister-in-law, Patricia Norfleet Byrum; niece, Dawn Byrum Tinkham (David); nephew, Hubert Byrum III (Lauren); great nieces, Savannah Byrum, Haleigh Byrum; and great nephew, Tyler Tinkham.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, October 2, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Rivers United Church with Pastor John Hunter officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rivers United Church, 27650 Walters Highway, Carrsville, VA 23315.
