Maureen "Jeannie" Veronica Franz, passed away August 18, 2018.  She was born in Liverpool, England the daughter of the late William Aldridge and Ethel Humphrey Aldridge.  Jeannie was a dedicated military wife for 25 years and was predeceased by her former husband, William M. Franz.  She was also predeceased by her best friends, Shirley Saclamenti; and Billie Mason.  Jeannie worked 25 years for Sentry Food Mart.  She then went on to work for Suffolk Public Schools and retired after 10 years of service.  She was an avid supporter of the Humane Society and the SPCA.  She dedicated many hours to volunteering.

Jeannie is survived by her children and their spouses, Keith and Helen Franz, Denise and Charles Russell, Victoria and Ricky Pritchard; grandchildren and their spouses, Tina, David (Renee), Blake (Brenda), Nicole (J.D.), Jason (Guinevere); great grandchildren, Ethan, Kara, Hailey Rain, and Jordyn; sister, Sheila Mcanna; brother, Keith Aldridge.  Some special people in Jeannie's life include, Anthony Fusco, Woody Jurnigan, Ray Mason, Weezie Beamon, Laura Smith, and Tracey Everitt.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Father Emmanuel Mensah officiating.  Friends may also join the family for a time of fellowship one hour prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.  The burial will be private at Holly Lawn Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the Suffolk Humane Society.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
