Maureen Kummer "Candy" Holland, 71, passed away on May 6, 2022. She was born in New Orleans, LA to Laura Ladiner and the late Moises B. Kummer. She is also predeceased by her sister, Kathleen Baker. She had a passion for children. She was a daycare provider and owned Candy's Playschool. In her journal, she wrote that she saw herself as a "Shepherd of Children." She was also a member of the Suffolk Moose Lodge 141.  Candy loved singing karaoke and collecting jewelry. She loved all things that sparkled.

Candy is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Warren Watkins Holland; daughters, Ashley E. Kinka (Steve) and Shannon H. Ponack (Larry); son, David C. Holland; grandchildren, Steven "Clark" Kinka and Catherine Lillian Ponack; and brothers, Lauren Baker, Robert Baker, Barry Kummer, and Gerado Pampin.

Candy's celebration of life will be on Saturday, May 21,2022 at 12:00 at Crosspointe Church in Suffolk, Virginia, with Pastor David Sexton officiating.
