Mattie Louise McMikel Davis, 93, went home to her heavenly resting place to be with the Lord and her late husband of 56 years, Benjamin Hill Davis Sr. on Saturday, February 20, 2021. She was born in Ruskin, Hillsborough Co, FL to the late Clydie Lee Hall and Ernest Eugene McMikel. She is also predeceased by 6 of her 18 children, Randy Lee, Pamela Sue, Lewell Eugene, Lisa Gail, Janice Dorthea and her baby boy, Fred Stewart; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Opal and twin, Hattie; brother, Ernest; and several other precious family members. She was a lifelong caregiver, who enjoyed gardening, reading, being with family, a winning lottery ticket and a good piece of chocolate. But nothing made her smile more than holding a baby as you can tell by her large family.

Mattie is survived by her children, Kathy Louise (Jack), Benjamin (Bertha), Linda (David), Joseph (Sherry), Sabra (Thomas), Tim (Chris), Ronald (Marie), Richard (Evelyn), Roger (Jodi), Gary (Beth), Donald (Toni) and Patricia (Gilbert); 63 grandchildren; 130 great grandchildren; 52 great great grandchildren; and 5 great great great grandchildren.

Mattie's funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory. Viewing will be available during regular business hours at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory until the hour of her service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
