Matthew David Gray, affectionately called "Matt Matt", 28, passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2025. He was born in Suffolk, Virginia to Susan Michele Taylor and the late David Allen Gray. He is also predeceased by his grandparents, Elaine Gray, and Sidney Kania. He worked for Target as a warehouse worker and Panera Bread.

Matt is survived by his parents, Michele and Billy Taylor; brothers, Clayton Gray (Heather), James Gray, and Josh Finley; nieces, Madilynn and Sophia Gray; step mother, Kristy Gray; grandparents, Janice Kania, Earl Gray, Ed and Toni Taylor, James and Sandra Salyers; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Matt was a light in our lives, always kind, selfless, and ready to help anyone who needed it. He loved his friends and family fiercely, and he showed it in the ways that mattered most: by showing up, by giving without hesitation, and by being a steady, loyal presence.

He had a way of making people feel cared for, and his generous spirit touched everyone around him. His loss leaves a hole that can never be filled, but his love and kindness will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Matt's graveside service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery with Pastor Parker Mathias officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
