Mary Louise Worrell Boone, 89, of Lake Prince Woods Retirement Community in Suffolk, Virginia went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. She was born October 7, 1927 in Cripple Creek, Wythe County, Virginia to Grover and Bitha Worrell. She was retired from Lipton Tea Company where she worked on the production line. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Virginia Cooperman and Irene Smelser and her brothers Ernest, Blair, John Douglas and Randolph Worrell.

Louise is survived by her husband of 66 years, Howard Franklin Boone of Lake Prince Woods Retirement Community in Suffolk, Virginia; daughter and son-law, Patricia Ann and James Weaver of Mechanicsville, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Special gratitude and love is sent to her caregiver, Marcy Mitchell of Suffolk, Virginia. Marcy was a blessing and assisted Louise in her journey to be with the Lord. Also a special thank you to the dedicated staff of Home Instead Senior Care and the Lake Prince Woods Skilled Care Unit for their compassion and professionalism.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, Virginia 23434 with Rev. Michael Halley officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
