Mary Elizabeth West, 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Born in Maysville, North Carolina to the late Zeke Phillips and Sadie Heath Phillips and predeceased by 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Mary loved her family and loved to serve the Lord.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving and caring husband Robert of 58 years; her daughter Melissa West Hayes and her husband Thurman; her son Robert (Robbie) Lee West II and his wife, Brandy; grandchildren, Caleb, Courtney, and Cassidy Hayes; Campbell, Camryn (Cody), and Carson West; sisters, Eleanor Carraway (Dalton) and Cathy Wilson.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 237 N.
