Mary Lou Dotson Vaughan, 72, passed away June 28, 2016. She was born in Glenalum, WV to the late Silas and Lilly Baisden Dotson. She is also predeceased by her brother Rabon Dotson. Mary worked for many years at Obici Hospital. She was a member of the Suffolk Church of God.

Mary is survived by her husband of 49 years, James Vaughan; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Anne Vaughan-Ellis, Jennifer Clark, Patricia Whitley (Matthew), and Kimberly Watkins (Josh); grandchildren, Christopher Vaughan, Matthew Whitley, Ashley Whitley, and Gage Watkins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rachel Winborne (John) and Janet Bryant (Randy); and numerous other loved ones.

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Pastor Aaron Burgess and Pastor Win Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
