Mary Josephine Thorne, 64, of Suffolk, VA passed away May 14, 2007. She was born in Portsmouth, VA the daughter of the late Sadie Wood Thomas and Lewis Thomas.
She is survived by her husband, Robert H. L. Thorne, Sr. of Suffolk, VA; daughter, Shirley Ann Bradshaw of Smithfield, VA; son, Robert H. L. Thorne, Jr. of Suffolk, VA; 4 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Katherine and Joanne; and 4 brothers, George, Angelo, Johnny, and Jimmy Thomas.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Central Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roger D. Johnson officiating. Friends may join the family Wednesday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home. Condolences may be registered at www.parrfuneralhome.com
