Mary F. Murray Severino Babb passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2013. She was born on May 16, 1919 and was the daughter of Alfred Preston and Cornelius Jane Murray. She was predeceased by her husband, Nick L. Severino with whom she had four daughters and one son. She was also predeceased by her second husband, Carlton Babb with whom she had one son. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters: Willie Page and Margarite Morrison; a brother, Richard Murray; a daughter, Gloria Jean Chesley; two sons, Nickie Eugene Severino and Tommy Babb; and a great grandson, Christopher Joyner.

She is survived by her brother, Olen Murray of Palmetto, GA and a sister, Dorothy Ferguson of Tampa, FL. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Valrie McHugh of Chesapeake, Mary Underwood (Robert) and Berlene Byrum, all of Suffolk; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren, plus several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013, at 12 noon at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Charles Thompson officiating.
