Mary Edith Hamilton, 91, of Suffolk, VA passed away on November 24, 2012. She was a native of Nansemond Co., VA and the daughter of the late John Wade Hamilton, Sr. and Sylvia Smith Hamilton. She was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Spivey and brothers, J. W. Hamilton, Jr. and Joe T. Hamilton. She retired as office manager for Holland Hardware Store. She was a lifetime member of Holy Neck Christian Church.

Mary is survived by her nieces and their husbands, Gayle Hamilton and Lee Duplain, Sylvia Hamilton and C. McCoy Simpson and great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 11:00 am at Holy Neck Christian Church with Rev. Drew Mountcastle officiating. Internment will follow at Holland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Neck Christian Church Memorial Fund, 4400 Holy Neck Rd. Suffolk, VA, 23437.
