Mary Dean Gray, 74, passed away July 6, 2017.  She was born in Nansemond County, VA the daughter of the late Russell Dean Nichols and Mary Lou Guyton Nichols.  She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Robert Russell Gray, Sr. and her grandson, Steven Turner.  She formerly worked at First Baptist Day Care and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Robin Lynne Turner and Deanna Marie Gray; son, Robert Russell Gray, Jr.; grandchildren, Tiffany Dawn Gray, Brittany Lynne Turner, Robert Russell Gray, III, Freedom Elizabeth Gray, and Myranda Rae Green; great grandchildren, Mason Byrum and Sara Cramer; brother, Russell David Nichols; and loving pet, Sissy girl.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Chaplain Roland Griggs officiating.  Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Monday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
