Mary "Mae" Corneila Leggett Faison, 77, passed away January 29, 2017. She was born in Nansemond Co., VA to the late Harvey Jesse and Gladys Ward Leggett. Mae was predeceased by her daughter Edna C. Guile, brothers William L. Leggett and Roy S. Leggett and granddaughter Ashley D. White. She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and the Mary Sue Brittle Sunday School Class. Mae was also a member of the Suffolk Ladies Duckpin League. She was a hairdresser for over 55 years having worked at Vogue Beauty Salon and at the time of her retirement, The Lion and Lioness.

Mae is survived by her husband of 46 years, Warren Coleman Faison; daughters, Margaret C. and Art Holland, Sheila C. and Jerry Clark; son, Thomas W. and Kim Harrell; grandchildren, Carol F. and David Bennett, Whitney K. Holland, Tyler R. Holland, Jessica R. White, Seth O. Faison; sisters, Annie L. Holland, Edna L. and Gene Smith, Lucille L. and Neil Gibson, Jean and Billy Trollinger; sister-in-laws, Jean Leggett, Nita Leggett.

A celebration of life service will be held February 2, 2017 at 11:00 am Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Matthew Winters officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 am prior to the service. Burial will follow at Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethlehem Christian Church, 1549 Holland Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
