Mary Aldine Cofield Beasley, 86, of Jacksonville, FL died on May 3, 2013. She was born December 10, 1926 in Roxobel, NC to the late James Abner Cofield and Mary Sue Rawls. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, William F. Beasley and by 3 brothers, Royce, David and Carl Cofield.

Aldine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who loved to sew and cook for her family. She was previously a member of Park Lane Baptist Church. She dedicated her spiritual life to God and her earthly life to her children and family. She is truly loved and will be missed very much.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Harold Glenn Beasley and wife, Brenda of Portsmouth, VA; daughter, Wanda Joan Hopson of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Doyle Cofield of Gatesville, NC; sisters, Edith Palmer (Cliff) of Orange, CA, Merle Groves (John) of Suffolk, VA, and Bobbie Byrd (Gerry) of Suffolk, VA. Grandchildren are Brian Beasley (Jen), Allison Carr (Nathan), Lindsey Beasley, David Hopson (Kate), Karen Turner (Mike). Survivors also include, 6 great grandchildren, John, Tim, Drew, Justin, Matt, and Lexi.

A graveside service, family only, will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, VA. The family will receive friends on Friday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA.
