Martha Lou Oliver, 83, passed away January 24, 2021.  She was born in Suffolk, Virginia the daughter of the late Ralph Warren Oliver, Sr. and Mary Martha Bowden Oliver.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Ralph W. Oliver, Jr. and Billie Jean Oliver.  Lou Lou was a member of Whitehead's Grove Baptist Church where she faithfully served in the nursery, taught preschool Sunday school classes, was a former secretary for Vacation Bible School.  She was a part of the Woman's Missionary Union and one her last jobs at the church was a security monitor.

Lou Lou is survived by her sisters, Linda O. Whitley (Steve), Judy O. Edwards (Roger); sister-in-law, Marilyn Oliver; nieces and nephews, Kim Johnston (Steve), Michelle Jones (Ronnie), Warren Oliver (Ashley), Jamie Fitchett (Morgan), Edith DaSilva (Adam), Stephanie Corp (Bobby), Nicole Winslow (Jason), Gene Edwards; and 16 great nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at Whitehead's Grove Baptist Church where it will be live-streamed on the church's Facebook page.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may join the family for a visitation with limited gathering and social distancing on Thursday night from 6-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Whitehead's Grove Baptist Church,18366 Benns Church Blvd., Smithfield, Virginia 23430.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
