Martha Parker Britt, 91, passed away November 18, 2023.  She was born in Nansemond County, VA the daughter of the late Willie Parker and Gertie Brinkley Parker.  She was predeceased by her husband, Earl David Britt; daughter, Joann Mann; and siblings, Margaret Herring, Marion Council, James Parker and Buddy Parker.  Martha retired from the Department of Agriculture. She was a member of West End Baptist Church and enjoyed singing with the Pickard Corral.

Martha is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Teresa Britt; grandchildren, Cabel Mann (Erin), and Justin Britt (Jennifer); 5 great grandchildren; sister, Sara Burford; brother, Harvey Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
