Marion Edwards Burden, 63, of Suffolk passed away on July 8, 2013. A native of Isle of Wight County, VA she was predeceased by her parents, Thomas Edwards and Mary Dickerson Edwards and siblings, Violet Stafford, William H. Edwards and Cecil Edwards. She worked in the Admitting Office of Sentara Obici as a Registration Clerk and attended Western Branch Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jimmy Lee Burden; daughters and son-in-law Christine E. Burden and Catherine D. Adickes and Hoyt Adickes, III; grandchildren, Mariah and Darrick; sisters: Toni Shank, Edith Jean, Jane Pittman and Evelyn Bristow; and brothers Paul Edwards and Joe Edwards.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. for visitation and other times at the home of Toni Shank, 4701 Old Mill Road, Suffolk.
