Marilyn Janice Hobgood Purdie's Obituary
Marilyn Janice Hobgood Purdie, 71, passed away on June 22, 2019. She was born to the late Evelyn E. Orr and M.J. Hobgood in Newport News, VA. She is also predeceased by her husband, Richard Albert Purdie. She worked for Newport News Shipyard as a Union Representative for 48 years.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Brian Richard Purdie; grandson, Tyler Brian Purdie; and sister, Jennifer Wright.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
