Margie Christine Brickhouse, 89, passed away November 11, 2012. She was born in Gates, NC the daughter of the late Lucy Mary Briscoe Hayes and Benjamin Franklin Hayes. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Brickhouse, Sr. Margie retired as a machine operator for Lipton Tea. She was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church and currently a member of Crosspointe Free Will Baptist Church.

Margie is survived by her daughter, Shelby Jean Promuto of Virginia Beach; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry H. and Pamela Sadler of Suffolk, Victor W. and Gayle Sadler of Frederick, MD; 4 grandchildren; host of great grandchildren; sister, Thelma Benton of South Mills, NC; brother, Bernard Hayes of Virginia Beach.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Sexton officiating. Friends may join the family other times at the residence of Jerry and Pamela Sadler. Memorial donations may be made to Crosspointe Free Will Baptist Church at 2460 Pruden Blvd., Suffolk, VA 23434.
