Margaret Hoffler Spivey, 98, of Evans, GA passed away July 22, 2009. She was born in Gates Co., NC the daughter of the late Cecil R. Hoffler and Lillian Z. Hoffler. She was also predeceased by her husband, Emmette E. Spivey; sisters, Ethel Hoffler and Mozelle H. Rountree; daughter, Sandra Hensley Cox; sons-in-law, Otis L. Hensley, Jr. and Fred Cox; granddaughter-in-law, Sandy Hensley. Margaret retired as a head cashier from Union Life Insurance Company. She was a member of Abilene Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Edgewood Garden Club.

Margaret is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Adele S. and Donald R. Brown; grandchildren, Lisa Hensley Perdue (Steve Perdue), Duane L. Hensley, D. Wade Brown (Ashley Brown); Deborah M. Wigg (Rob Wigg), Tara Hensley Wilkins (Jay Wilkins); great grandchildren, Mark Hensley, Megan Hensley, Missy Biernot, Karsyn Boysen, Landon Wigg, Kyle Brown, Ryan Wigg, Savannah Brown; niece, Nancy R. Eure (Lin); nephews Sherwood Eason (Etta) and Wilmer Spivey (Joyce).

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Jim George officiating. Friends may join the family other times at the residence of Adele and Donald Brown.
