Margaret Hunter Spiers Gardner, 85, of Suffolk, VA passed away on August 27, 2007. She was born in Nansemond County the daughter of the late Lona Collins Spiers and Albert Freddie Spiers. She was predeceased by her husband, Randolph Holland Gardner. Margaret was a member of Holland Baptist Church and the Holland Ladies Ruritan Club.

Margaret is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy G. and D. Kent Daughtrey of Suffolk, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Freddie Randolph Gardner and Mitzi C. Gardner of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren, Shana Renee Williams and husband Phillip Eric Williams, Melissa Claire Owens, Jessie D. Ricks and husband Tommy Ricks, Nathan Randolph Gardner and wife, Sarah J. Gardner; great grandchildren, Garrett McKenzie Pierce and Grace McKenna Pierce.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Pastor Jeff P. Crim officiating. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family Wednesday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Nancy and Kent Daughtrey at 3204 Holland Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434. Contributions may be made to the Khedive Transportation Fund for the Shriner's Hospital at 645 Woodlake Dr., Chesapeake, VA 23320.
