Margaret Elizabeth Glans, 83, of Suffolk, VA passed away on July 28, 2011. A native of Williamsburg, VA she was the daughter of the late Arvid Young, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Epperson Young. She was formerly a clerk at the Norfolk Naval Air Station.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Alvin Darrel Glans of Suffolk; her son and daughter-in-law Darrel Reid Glans and Kimberly Ann Glans of Pensacola, FL; three grandchildren, Kristin Elizabeth Glans, Collin Marshall Glans, and Candice Marie Moore; a great grandson, Colton Nolan Moore; and a brother and sister-in-law, Arvid "Dick" Young, Jr. and Pam Young of Surry, VA.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating.
