Margaret Vera Boldt Pruitt, 78, passed away quietly in her home on Sunday, March 21st following complications from pneumonia. She was born on February 13, 1932 and was a lifelong resident of Suffolk, the daughter of the late Frank and Maude Ellis. Margaret was married to and is survived by her husband of 57 years, Archie T. Pruitt, Sr. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Pruitt Houst, of Meridian, Idaho. She was a loving and devoted mother and is survived by daughter, Libby Pruitt Breyette (John Breyette) of Houston, Texas, and son, Archie T. Pruitt, Jr. (Donna Aston Pruitt) of Suffolk, and grandchildren, Christine Pruitt of Suffolk, Kathryn and Michael Breyette of Houston, Texas, and Jennifer, Adam, Diane, Darlene, and Sarah Houst of Idaho, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Parr Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA with Rev. Wayne Gardner officiating.
