Mamie Louise Parsons, 82, passed away November 27, 2023.  She was born in Missouri the daughter of the late Sid and Merle Wethers.  She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin Parsons; daughters, Vicki Kilgore, Jenny Sortino; son, Jeffrey Parsons; and sister, Kay.  Mamie was a United States Navy veteran.  She later went on to work and then retired as a nurse for Onslo County Memorial Hospital.

Mamie is survived by her daughter, Rachel Ferguson; daughter-in-law, Martha Parsons; grandchildren, Coty Ferguson, Lindsey Ferguson, Matthew Baker, Jeffrey Parsons, Edward Sortino, Alyssa Wallace, Ally Ferley, Jacob Sortino, Hannah Kilgore, and Shamus Kilgore; 18 great grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 12 p.m. at Dogwood Memorial Cemetery in Maysville, NC with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
