Obituary

Maggie Sue Branch Joyner, 88, of Suffolk, VA passed away on April 7, 2009. A native of Courtland, VA she was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Branch and Maggie Virginia Joyner. She was also predeceased by her husband Harry Lee Joyner, Jr. Sue formerly worked for Lipton Tea Co. She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and attended Tucker Swamp Baptist Church and the Harold West Sunday School Class.

Sue is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy J. and Norman A. Grefe, Jr. of Suffolk; son and daughter-in-law, Harry L. Joyner, III and Linda M. Joyner of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren, Norman III, Elizabeth, John, Susan, Mark, Michael, Amanda, Jennifer, Alan and Amy; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Annie Bell Harrup of Berlin, VA and Alice Nell Wills of Windsor, VA.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA with Dr. Rob Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family on Friday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com
