Lynn Erle Bell, 55, of Smithfield, VA found peace on August 9, 2006. He was born in
Montgomery, AL and settled in Hampton Roads in 1966. He was a 1970 Hampton High School graduate. Lynn was the president of Bell's General Hauling, Inc. for over 25 years. He attended Whiteheads Grove Church. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Oma Lucius and Lydia Bernay Cash McGahey of Brownwood, TX.

He is survived by his best friend and beloved wife of 36 years, Darlene White Bell; daughter, Janet Lynn Bell; son, David Erle Bell all of Smithfield, VA; mother and father, Meta Vee and Lloyd Bell of Williamsburg, VA; sisters, Christine Shaw, and her husband David of Longmont, CO, Katherine Riggs, and her husband Paul of Arden, NC; and brother, Bill Bell, and wife Liz of York Co., VA.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Whiteheads Grove Church with Rev. Russell O. Leonard officiating. Friends may also join the family following the service at the residence for further time of fellowship. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Isle of Wight Humane Society at 16672 Longview Dr., Smithfield, VA 23430, or to a charity of one's choice. Parr Funeral home is serving the family.
