Lydia Davis Harrell, 100, passed away October 7, 2025.  She was born in Creeksville, NC the daughter of the late June Allison Davis and Maude Futrell Davis.  She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years and love of her life, Marion Julian Harrell; siblings, June Davis, Elizabeth Outland, Madeline Thomas, Mary Jones, Stuart Davis, and Deane Stewart; sons-in-law, Bobby Buck and Tommy Powell.  She was a member of First Baptist Church where she actively served for many years.  She was also a member of the Suffolk Christian Woman's Club.

Lydia is survived by her daughters, Louise Buck, Linda Powell, Julie Holland (David), and Renee Hobbs (Ed).  Her 10 grandchildren and their spouses, Christopher Wayne Buck (Sandy), Monica Buck Kirkman (Keith), Kimberly L. Buck, Christy Powell Cordova (Chris), Tammy Powell Motley (Ed), David Lee Holland, Jr. (Julia), Lisa Holland Hoberg (Jeffrey), Alexis Holland Rawls (Charles), Sarah Hobbs Blair (Joseph), Rebecca Hobbs Stallings (Cole); 17 great grandchildren, Kristin Buck Hinson (T.J.), C.J. Buck (Brittany), Mackenzie Kirkman, Hunter Motley (Shyann), Landon Cordova, Nolan Cordova, Dalton Cordova, Alexandra Hoberg, Brooklyn Hoberg, Emmett Holland, Ethan Holland, Holland Lydia Rawls, and Charles Holland Rawls IV, Walter Blair, Davis Blair, Emery Stallings, and Caden Stallings, 4 great great grandchildren, Declan Hinson, Jaxson Hinson, Cohen Hinson, June Dahlia Buck.

A funeral service will be held Friday, October 10, 2025 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Thurman Hayes, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the church.  Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund at 237 N.
