Lucy Davis Newsome, 80, of Suffolk, VA, went to Heaven on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

Lucy was born in Tyner, NC on February 8, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Henry Carson and Hazel Jordan Davis. She is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Giles Newsome; her daughter, Dawn Newsome; her brother, Calvin Davis (Faye) and his children, Angela Sayre, Janet Jones (Mark) and Todd Davis (Stacie).

A beloved wife, mother, sister, and aunt, she loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed gardening, nature photography, bird watching, genealogy and crafting.

She asked to be remembered in the hearts and thoughts of those who knew and loved her. In honoring her wishes, a memorial service will not be held.
