Obituary

Lucille Love Lewis Lassiter, 79 of Suffolk, passed away on September 17, 2010. A native of Keysville, VA she was the daughter of the late Alfred Jackson Lewis and Helen Edwards Lewis. She was also predeceased by her husband, Alor Ray Lassiter; her sisters, Mildred Martin and Kathryn Budd and her brothers, Andrew Lewis and Sterling Lewis. She retired after 33 years of service to C & P Telephone as a Telephone Service Representative; was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and a member of Bethlehem Christian Church.

She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Springer and Linda and Norman Wilkins, all of Suffolk; her grandchildren, Brittany Wilkins and Matt Springer; sisters and brothers-in-law: Shirley and Richard Burton, Virginia and Tommy Savage and Dorothy Stewart; brothers and sisters-in-law: Tom and Jean Lewis, Frank and Mary Lewis; cousins, Owen Lewis, Maude L. Atkinson and Geneva L. Tuck and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday, September 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, officiated by Rev. Jim George. Burial will follow at Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the funeral home for visitation on Sunday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at the residence.
