Lucille Kathleen Farrell, 86, of Suffolk, VA passed away October 14, 2016. She was born in Nansemond County, VA to the late Laura Green and William Farrell. She is also predeceased by her husband Marvin Gussie Cowing; son, Marvin Gilbert "Gil" Cowing; grandson Christopher Cowing; sisters, Ruth Bradley, Edna Carriveau, and Marie Acey; and brother, Buddy Farrell. Lucille retired after many years as a nurse at Obici Hospital in Suffolk. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she was a member of the Relief Society.

Lucille is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa Cowing Williams, Lynne Cowing Jakobowski and husband, Mark; and Dawn E. Crocker and husband, Lloyd Crocker, Jr.; grandchildren, Michael Trent Savage, Allen Kenley Savage, Alexandra K. Jakobowski, and Hannah Nicole Crocker; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret Crawford and husband, Dave of Roy Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews, that she loved and adored.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr. Suffolk, VA 23434 with Bennett's Creek Bishopric Second Counselor Mike Christensen officiating.
