Lottie Gertrude Griffith, 88, of Suffolk, VA passed away December 13, 2007. She was born in Tabor City, NC the daughter of the late Minnie Ray Stanley and James Bethel Stanley. Lottie was predeceased by her husband, Julius Matthew Griffith. She was a member of Great Fork Baptist Church where she attended the Ruth Bible Class.

Lottie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Winston and Lupe Griffith of Newport News, VA, Jason and Joanne Griffith of Burlington, NC, and Donald and Michelle Griffith of Suffolk, VA; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Eula Mae Housand of Wilmington, NC, Ruth Cox of Loris, SC, and Velma Hazelton of Johnsonville, SC.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 17, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Great Fork Baptist Church with Dr. Donald Ray Jones officiating. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News, VA.
