Lorraine Charnock Brown, 89, of Suffolk, VA passed away February 25, 2011. She was born in Northampton County, VA the daughter of the late Viola Charnock and Herbert Charnock. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, J. Richard Brown and sisters, Lucille and Lillian. Lorraine retired as a paper tester from Union Camp. She was a member of Holmes Presbyterian Church in Bayview, VA and attended Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Lorraine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Adele Brown of Suffolk; grandchildren, Wade Brown and wife, Ashley, Debbie Wigg and husband, Rob; great grandchildren, Landon Wigg, Kyle Brown, Ryan Wigg, and Savannah Brown; 2 nieces and 1 nephew.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 4 p.m. at Capeville Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Jim George officiating. Friends may join the family other times at the residence of Donnie and Adele Brown. Memorial donations may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund at 1637 Holland Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434.
