Lonnie Willie Umphlett, 94, passed away May 25, 2021.  He was born in Drumhill, North Carolina the son of the late Cherry Lizzie Umphlett.  Lonnie was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force.  He is predeceased by his wife, Lillian Frances Snyder Umphlett; sisters, Cherry Ruth Twine and Sarah Harrell; and brother, Walter Harvey Umphlett.

Lonnie is survived by his son, Lonnie Earl Umphlett and wife, Debbi; grandchild, Jenna Marie Ross and husband, Colin; great grandchildren, Poppy Briar Ross and Josephine Daisy Ross; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Frank Halsey, Jr. officiating.  Burial will be private at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Thursday night from 6-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
