Lois Tanner Phillips, better known as "Queen" passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 21, 2023, at the age of 81.  She was born on September 18, 1941 in Suffolk, Virginia.

She was a retired beautician who enjoyed shopping, decorating, and landscaping. She was known for her fashion, antique and thrift shopping and hoarding of extravagant things. She had a beloved furniture, lamp, picture and pillow collection.

Lois was a witty, tenacious, vibrant women who was boisterous, out spoken, and always had to have the last word. She was renowned for always running late, but for always being the life of the party. To know her was to love her. She will be missed greatly by the many people her life touched.

She was preceded in death by husband, Michael E. Phillips, Mother, Magdalene Hall Booker, Father, Willie F. Bridger and Grandson Chandler Blake Ferguson. She is survived by her former husband Chuck Tanner, sister, Lillian Scott, and three children. Clark Tanner (Donna), April Tanner Host (David), Laurel Frink (Jay). Grandchildren, Stephen Grey Ferguson, Madison Tanner and Sydney Frink. Also, survived by special friend Barbara Knight.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lois' favorite charity, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.

The family will receive family and friends at 10:00 on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Parr Funeral Home located at 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA.
