Lloyd William
Shildt
April 10, 1959 – September 24, 2025
Lloyd William Shildt entered the presence of the Lord on Sept 24, 2025 , in the comfort of his home. He was 66 years and fought a courageous 14-year battle with a neurological syndrome. His devoted wife, Anne, truly lived out in sickness and health until death do us part.
Born on April 10, 1959, in Brooklyn NY. Lloyd was a man defined by his unwavering faith, quiet strength, moral discipline, and dedication to his work and family. From a young age, he embraced the value of hard work, a principle that would guide him throughout his life and career as a Nuclear Director. He spent over 38 years at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, where he was respected by colleagues and known for his integrity and steadfast commitment to his craft. Beyond his professional life, Lloyd was a devoted husband, a hardworking father, and a proud grandfather. He and his beloved wife, Anne, shared a blessed union of 46 years, built on love and a shared faith in Jesus Christ. Together, they raised their 6 children, Dana, Amber, William, Erik, Jeffrey, and Emily, whom he taught the importance of a strong work ethic and moral integrity. He found his greatest joy in providing for his family and living as an example for his wife and children.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Anne; children, Dana, William (Nataly), Erik, and Jeffrey (Jessica); grandchildren, Luke, Luna, Stella, Serenity, Eli, and Noah; sister, Karin Payton (Richie); and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Sanden; and daughters, Amber and Emily.
Lloyd was a faithful servant of God, and his Christian values conformed to every aspect of his life. His life was a testament to his belief that "whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters" (Colossians 3:23).
Lloyd's funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Donald Waltz officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you send PLANTS! We find comfort in the promise of eternal life and rejoice that Lloyd is now at peace in the arms of his Savior.
