Lloyd H. "Sixty" Chapman passed away on August 12, 2008. Born on January 20, 1908, he was a lifelong resident of Suffolk and was a retired plastering contractor. He was the son of William Robert Chapman and Setie Harrell Chapman. Sixty was predeceased by his wife, Ursula Eason Chapman and twin brother, Woody H. Chapman; brothers, Robert Randolph Chapman, Elmer B. Chapman, Jack Prentis Chapman; and sisters, Mabel Harrell Chapman and Essie Lee Chapman Eley. He is survived by his nephew, Robert "Jack" R. Chapman, Jr. of Suffolk; niece, Nancy Chapman Davis of Portsmouth; three great nieces and three great nephews; four great great nieces; six great great nephews; two great great great nieces and one great great great nephew.
He was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Suffolk, where he served on the Board of Ushers for 45 years; member of the Traveler's Protective Association, Post P; the American Association of Retired Persons; a charter member of the Cosmopolitan Club; and a former member of the Izaak Walton League. He formerly worked for a number of years at both R. W. Baker Funeral Home and Hill Funeral Home as a funeral assistant.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Bryan J. Ray officiating.
