Linwood B. "LB" Taylor Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at the age of 75 in Suffolk, Virginia. Born on January 28, 1951, in Chowan County, North Carolina, LB was known for his warm heart and infectious spirit.

LB spent his career as a dedicated dump truck driver for Burke Trucking, where he was respected by his colleagues and cherished the camaraderie of the open road. Beyond his professional life, LB had a passion for singing, delighting those around him with his renditions of country and gospel music. He never missed an opportunity to watch a baseball game, especially if the Washington Nationals were playing. His patriotic spirit was evident to all who knew him, and he had an extraordinary ability to make friends wherever he went, never truly meeting a stranger. On the CB radio, he was fondly known by his handle, "Dr. Pepper," a tribute to his lively and refreshing personality.

LB was a member and media follower of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, finding inspiration and community within its teachings. His faith was an important part of his life, guiding him through both challenges and triumphs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Linwood B. Taylor Sr. and Orene Outland Taylor, and his sister, Estelle T. Goodwin. LB's memory will be eternally cherished by his wife of 48 years, Chris S. Taylor; his daughter, Christy Brinkley; his granddaughter, Kendall Brinkley; and his brother-in-law, Randy Stafford.

In honoring LB's wishes, services will be private. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.

LB Taylor Jr.'s legacy of love, laughter, and kindness lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
