Lillian Frances Snyder Umphlett, 82, of Suffolk, VA passed away November 17, 2013. She was born in Norfolk, VA the daughter of the late Williora A. and Floyd C. Snyder. Lillian worked at A & P Tea company.


Lillian is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lonnie Willie Umphlett; son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie Earl Umphlett and Debbi Umphlett of Norwalk, OH; granddaughter, Jenna Marie Ross and husband, Colin of Pittsburgh, PA; great granddaughter, Poppy Briar Ross; sisters, Gertrude Elizabeth Wirt of Dallas, TX and Lettie Marie Peele of Chesapeake, VA; and nephew, Walter H. Umphlett, Jr. of Branchville, VA.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. The burial will be at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
