Lillian Jacqueline Kirkpatrick, known to most as Jackie, departed this world peacefully on May 30, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on October 15, 1946, in Williamston, North Carolina, Jackie was raised in Chesapeake, Virginia and settled in Portsmouth, Virginia in 1982.

Jackie was the daughter of James and Josephine Riddick, sister to three predeceased brothers and beloved wife to her loving husband of over thirty years, Kirk, who preceded her in eternal rest.

Jackie leaves behind a legacy through her three children: Angela Dorsey Charland (Chris), Tana Brewer (Dan), and William (Billy) Dorsey (Renee), seven grandchildren: Jonathan (Sabrina), Monica (Colby), Stephanie, Aiden, Sara, Zane, and Alana and three great-grandchildren, Mason, Jackson, and Miles, who all brought her immense joy and filled her heart with boundless love.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for God’s blessing in sending a true angel on earth to care for Jackie over the last year of her life, her personal care aide, Darlene Byrum, whose compassion, kindness and love were a source of comfort and strength.

A celebration of Jackie's life will be held on June 8, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Parr Funeral Home, located at 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, Virginia. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honoring her remarkable life and to share in the memories that will forever be etched in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jackie's memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
