Lillian "Becky" Goodrich Maynard, 77, of Smithfield, VA passed away July 12, 2014. She was born in Surry County to the late Gray and Carrie Barlow Goodrich. She was also predeceased by the love of her life, husband, Earl Edward Maynard; sister, Mabel Everhart; and brother, Pete Goodrich. She retired in 1987 after 35 years of service at Smithfield Packing Co. as a bookkeeper. She was a lifelong member of Bacon's Castle Baptist Church, member of the social committee, and taught Sunday School.

Left to cherish her memories her daughter, Kristi Bryant (Todd); son, Ronnie Maynard (Jean); grandchildren, Tiffany B. Brake (Rusty), Kelsey Bryant, Michael Bryant, Kayla Bryant, Ronnie Maynard, Jr., Christopher Maynard (Deborah), and Rana Ballard (Chip); 7 great grandchildren; wonderful sister-in-laws; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was Granny Beck to Shirley and Stuart, Brian and Kate, Carrie and Cameron, Anna and Aaron, and all their children.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Bacon's Castle Baptist Church, 86 Bacons Castle Trail, Surry, VA 23883 with Rev. Jimmy Acre officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Bacon's Castle Church Building Fund.
