Obituary

Lewis "Sambo" Andrew Crocker, 76, of Suffolk, VA passed away April 29, 2010. He was born in Isle of Wight County the son of the late Marvin Andrew Crocker, Sr. and Edna Alberta Gray Crocker. Lewis was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War. He retired after 36 years from roll finishing at Union Camp. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and the Lee Jackson Sunday School Class. He was also an avid Harley Davidson rider.

Lewis is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janie Bell Jordan Crocker of Suffolk; sons and daughter-in-law, Alan Troy Crocker and Heidi, Kip Lang Crocker all of Williamsburg, VA; grandchildren, Travis and Cody Crocker; sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn Barlow (Shep) of Smithfield, Pauline Austin (Emory) of Windsor, Katherine Barlow (William) of Smithfield, Ann Litten (Jim) of Stuart, VA; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin Andrew Crocker, Jr. (Sue) of Windsor, VA.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA with Rev. Jim George and Rev. Randy Gardner officiating. Entombment will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may join the family Friday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice House of Williamsburg at 4445 Powhatan Pkwy., Williamsburg, VA 23188 or Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund at 1637 Holland Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434.
