Leslie Carl Herring Jr., 90, passed away April 16, 2025 with his family by his side.  He was born in Norfolk, VA the son of the late Leslie Carl Herring, Sr. and Audrey Smith Herring.  Carl retired as an Engineer Plant Manager for Newport News Shipbuilding.  He was a member of and loved his Antioch Church family and the Tidewater Anglers Club.

Carl is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shirley A. Herring; son, Larry Herring and wife, Brenda; two grandchildren, Tiffany Barry and husband, DJ, and Roman Herring; and three great grandchildren, Bella, Duke, and Riverlynn; brother, Milton S. Herring; sisters-in-law, Patty Spence, Marcia Sparks; brother-in-law, Willie Pegram; niece, Kim Glover (Charles), Tonya Speck (Mark); along with special friends, Toni and Jim Reynolds.  Carl was blessed with a loving family of nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends and neighbors.  We appreciate Dianne and Marion for all their support along with Fuzzy and our church family.

Services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Antioch Church, Windsor, VA or the Tidewater Anglers Club, Virginia Beach, VA.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
