Leo Edward Osburn, 91, of Suffolk, passed away on March 18, 2011. A native of Shinglehouse, PA he was the son of Helen "Nellie" K. Cuneo Osburn and Carl Eugene Osburn. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Ruth Arlene Ball Osburn and a daughter, Colleen Osburn Rowe Sicard. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served in Worth War II. Leo was a turret lathe operator for 45 years at Dresser Industries.
He is survived by his daughters, Sherry O. Orrel of Suffolk and Lee O. Hendrix of San Diego, CA; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen E. and Terry Osburn of Shinglehouse, PA; fourteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Presentation, officiated by Father Piotr Bialkowski. The burial will be held at Rathbone Cemetery, in Shinglehouse, PA. A visitation will be held at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA, on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 4 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Mary of the Presentation Catholic Church Building Improvement Fund, 202 S.
