Lena Elizabeth Mathias Quimby, 87, of Suffolk, VA passed away July 20, 2010. She was born in Gates County, NC the daughter of the late Herbert and Florence Jones. She was predeceased by her husbands, Charlie Mathias, Ed Parker, and Harvey Merton Quimby, Jr., and also three brothers, James Herbert Jones, Milton Jones and Frank Jones and a sister, Josephine Riddick. Lena retired from the A & P Tea Company. She was a member of Parker United Methodist Church and the Suffolk Moose Lodge.

Lena is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Ty Brooks; son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Diane Mathias; step daughters and spouses, Debbie A. and William R. Turner, Jr., Mary E. and Mark T. Smith; grandchildren and their spouses, Timmy and Wyndee, Kim and Jason, Mandy and Ian, Brandy and Roge, Ryan and Sarah; great grandchildren, Kayla, Karly, Jacob, Bryce, Connor, Reese, Cole, Grace and Cody; sisters, Janie Phelps and Evelyn Pitscheneder both of Suffolk, VA.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating .
