Lena Ann Crutchlow Ellis passed away January 26, 2007, in Suffolk. She was born in Suffolk, November 27, 1934, the daughter of the late Irving Burruss Crutchlow, Sr. and Lucile Blankenship Crutchlow and was the wife of Harold "Jan" Ellis.

Mrs. Ellis was retired from the Suffolk Public School System and a member of Suffolk Christian Church.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Ellis is survived by a son, Buxton Timothy "Buck" Ellis of Newport News; a daughter, Angela Virginia "Angel" Ellis Khoury of Manteo, NC; one brother and 5 sisters; Irving Burrus "I.B." Crutchlow, Jr., Marathon, FL, Lucille "Echo" Crutchlow Hagan, Keystone Heights, FL; Nather Crutchlow Gray, Nags Head, NC; Nancy Crutchlow Coley, Franklin; Ella Sue "Susan" Crutchlow Stewart, St. Augustine, FL; and Dorothy "Dot" Crutchlow, Pensacola, FL; sisters-in-law Mary Virginia Vick, Portsmouth; Betty Lee Morrison, Suffolk; and Jane Newsome Ellis, Suffolk; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand nephews who loved her as their own grandmother.

The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, Jan. 28, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Suffolk Christian Church.
