Leda Mae Herring Switzer, 87, passed away January 9, 2019.  She was born in Isola, Mississippi the daughter of the late Thad Milton Herring and Ada Mae Aycock Herring.  She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Lawrence Ervin Switzer, Sr.; and siblings, Thomas Herring, Charles Herring, and Molly Stowers.  Leda formerly worked as a salesperson for Leggett's Department Store.  She was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church and the West Eley Sunday School Class.  She was also a member of the U.M.W.

Leda is survived by her daughters, Alice S. Peace (Johnny), Lisa S. King (Jimmy); sons, Lawrence E. Switzer, Jr., Dennis M. Switzer (Cathy), and Greg A. Switzer; 9 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters, Ann H. Trippe and Sue H. Makamson.

Services will be private.  Interment will be at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oxford United Methodist Church Food Pantry or the Alzheimer's Association.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com
