Laura Verona Lewis Green, 98, of Suffolk, VA passed away November 22, 2007. She was born in Windsor, VA the daughter of the late Lydia Joyner Lewis and James Lewis. She was predeceased by her husband, Hosea M. Green, her sisters, Katie Brown, Mae Carr, Olive Tanner, Louise Horton, Lovey Crocker, and Lillian Aldridge. She was a former production worker in Norfolk at the silk factory during WWII and a member of Brentwood Baptist Church in Norfolk.

Laura is survived by her niece, Janice Holland and her husband Aubrey; her nephew, Jimmy Brown and his wife, Linda all of Suffolk, VA; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, November 26, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery Norfolk, VA with Rev. Jonathan D. Palmer officiating. Friends may join the family other times at the residence of Janice and Aubrey Holland at 541 Lake Kilby Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434.
