Larry Velmar, 67, passed away May 3, 2023. He was born in Detroit, Michigan the son of Joyce B. Giles and the late John Velmar. Larry worked as a chemical technician for Virginia Chemical.  He also studied combination tractor trailer driving at Tidewater Community College.

In addition to his mother, Larry is survived by his daughter, Christa Granado; grandson, Isaac Granado; and sister, Laura A. Frank and husband, Bill.
